FLEET MANAGEMENT CASE STUDY

Littlefield Independent School District

Littlefield Independent School District (ISD) wanted to upgrade its older Fortress Mobile surveillance equipment to be more modernized and take advantage of newer technology and features. Mainly they wanted to get away from their older DVRs that used SD cards for recordings. They approached Fortress Mobile and other vendors to assess the technologies available before finally making a decision. They decided on Fortress due to a positive history with our equipment and the customer service they received for over nine years before the upgrade.

As a result of this all-in-one solution, the school district does not have to pull the hard drive as often, can get HD quality video clips within minutes of an incident, and have real-time access to the buses' interiors. Managers can handle onboard incidents in real-time. Fewer student behavior occurrences have been reported, and when there is, they can be corrected and addressed immediately due to live-video streaming.

Challenge

Littlefield ISD needed to upgrade their older Fortress surveillance system with one that was more in tune with modern technology. They still needed to remove and replace SD cards with limited storage capacity and needed to get into a system where they didn't have to change cards on a near-daily basis. They also wanted to have more features and a robust system consistent with the technology at the time. They wanted to stay with Fortress Mobile but also wanted to check with other vendors to see all available features on the market.
