DVRS
♦ Select a DVR and camera type that fit your needs:
♦ Record everything on and off the bus, including student and driver behaviors, stop arm violations, bus/driving meta information, and Incident Response button events.
It will depend on how many days of recording and cameras you require. A standard 64GB SD Card will usually provide 8-12 days of video on a four-camera system. A 500GB HDD will provide 2-3 months of video. We typically recommend an HDD when using 5-8 cameras or when you need more than approximately two weeks of video storage for a four-camera system.
There is no limit to the SD card capacity. All Fortress Nova DVRs support SDXC, which means they support all types of SD cards. Please consult with the SD manufacturer or Fortress IT staff to ensure the SD card meets the application requirements.
CAMERAS
Things to consider are how big the vehicle is, what are you looking to see, are there any obstructions to this view, and what type of budget you have. Our sales and technical staff would be more than happy to discuss where and how many cameras your vehicles should have.
CCTV cameras capture everything on the bus, monitors student and driver interactions during routes:
Capture crisp images of violations including vehicle make, model, color, license plate, and driver image:
SOFTWARE
View the captured video/audio recordings with GPS and sensory data. Easy to locate, retrieve, view, save, and share video data.
Locate and view data that is wirelessly transmitted to the download server.
Access to the list of vehicles for live viewing and tracking of vehicles.
Saving still images or video clips is relatively simple. Our viewer is very Windows-friendly. Point & Click to capture and save images. There is a camera icon in the middle of the viewer that is clickable to create a still image. Then designate where to save it. Sending clips or pictures to others is also simple. When possible, images and clips can be emailed, uploaded (to Dropbox or Google Drive), or use the Network folders to share.
Blurring stills or videos has never been easier than it is now.
WI-FI & GPS
Wi-Fi equipped vehicles will automatically download video/audio files that are marked via the Event Marker. This process will start when the vehicle enters the Wi-Fi network. The Wireless Network can be configured for a single lot or multiple lots with multiple access points.
The main benefit of Wi-Fi downloads is that the “EVENT MARKED” video will automatically be downloaded to the assigned data server once the bus is within range of the access points positioned in the yard. While the DVR is still on, the user has access to the hard drive for other troubleshooting or viewing tasks.
We manufacture and install our GPS tracking system on the vehicle. Our products will accept all major SIM card carrier companies, like AT&T, Verizon, etc. The device obtains all the vehicles’ geographic information and sends it out through the network to our cloud system (SureBus.org). After the fleet administrator has logged in, they can access any information online, which includes the vehicles’ GPS info.
You can use your SIM card to install the GPS, or you can purchase it from Fortress Mobile directly.
