1. Can multiple locations
view video?
* Yes! All that is required for an authorized user to view
the recorded video files is our software loaded on a PC, USB
Cable, MDVR Key and access to remove the hard drive off a
vehicle.
2. What is the Max
Resolution that cameras can record video?
* Our cameras can record video at Full D1 Resolution or 720
x 480. This recording resolution is using the NTSC
standard. Some manufacturers will post the PAL Standard
Resolution to show a competitive advantage, but the truth is
this standard is used mainly in Europe and Asia and has a
Full D1 Resolution of 720 x 576. In most all cases NTSC is
the only standard to pay attention too.
3. How many days can be
stored on a hard drive?
* Storage capacity is calculated using a number of
variables. Variables include the number of cameras,
resolution, vehicle use per day (hrs) and image quality
settings. In most cases we will provide enough storage to
cover at least 3 weeks of video.
Example: MDVR w/4
Cameras recording Video & Audio with a set CIF
Resolution (320x240) at 30FPS
with the highest image quality being used for 5hrs a
day.
160GB Drive:
92hrs of Video
Example: MDVR w/4
Cameras recording Video & Audio with a set Full D1
Resolution (720x480) at 15FPS
with the highest image quality being used for 5hrs a day.
160GB Drive:
70hrs of Video
4. What is the purpose of
recording sensory data?
* Recording sensors or the metadata allows users to view
additional information that provides users with a further
detail in the video playback. Here users can see the
operator applying brakes, turn signals, stop arm or any
other attached metric. This data should coincide with the
vehicle speed and allow users to evaluate the operator’s
driving habits.
5. What is the difference
between Panic Button and Event Button?
* An Event Button is an operator manually pushing a button
that marks a file on the hard disk. This file allows
authorized users to easily locate, retrieve and view the
marked file. A Panic button, much like the Event button is
a manual trigger. This feature pushes video to Authorized
users in a Real-Time capacity via Cellular Network. The
authorized users can remotely view the vehicles GPS location
and vehicle contents by the installed cameras. Additional
software and a cellular modem are required for a true panic
button to work.
6. A number of company’s
sell cameras that are built for placing in a specific
location. How do I determine where to place the cameras?
* Our philosophy at Fortress Mobile is to assist you and
custom tailor a solution to fit your needs. We have a
universal camera with 4 different lens options. This
universal camera can be mounted in any internal location.
Depending on the location your operation desires we will
match you with the best lens to get the most optimal
viewing. Other companies may use a cookie cutter method
approach and supply you with cameras that may only be
mounted in a designated location.
* Our cameras are designed as a ball that fits into a locked
brace. The camera allows users to position then rotate and
then lock the camera. Once locked, the camera will be
secured in this vandal-proof dome design recording both
video and audio.
7. Does your Mobile DVR
require a lock-box?
* No! Our solution is cased in an Air-Tight chassis. The
box is built with 18-guage aluminum alloy and has ridges to
increase the surface space. This design allows the box to
work as its own heat sink in warm climate conditions and a
heat conductor in colder temperatures. Other brands use
boxes that have fans or ventilation. Any box that requires
air flow for cooling will have a shorter life span due to
moisture, dust and foreign particle penetration.
8. Can your cameras record
when it is dark?
* Yes! All our cameras contain Infra-Red LED’s. This
allows users to view video recordings when no light is
present.
9. In the event your system
encounters an error, how can user detect and error?
* There is an audible alarm and an indicator on the front of
the DVR. The LED indicator labeled ERR will be
lit if there is a system failure. |
